I wonder what will become of dragonmaw orcs in wetlands rp wise on server in future since it looks like they are going to be killed off in wetlands by cataclysm. The gnolls will probably go extinct in wetlands area. It looks like kalimdor though might suffer the most though. The more I think of all the sudden total choas, destruction and death the more I like it.

Quote:Thrall is still Warchief. In actuality, Sylvanas is kidnapped by the Alliance, put on trial and executed, leading both Thrall and Garrosh to agree on war with the alliance.
I don't believe the part about Thrall/Garrosh, but....The Sylvanas part seems interesting.

Aha. I've finally found that quest text from 3.2.2
Quote: Aponi Brightmane says: Talk to me, Tahu. Somthing. Anything! I'm going stir-crazy.
Tahu Sagewind laughs softly.
Tahu Sagewind says: All right, Aponi. I've enough on my mind to share. Have you ever spoken with the elves of Moonglade?
Aponi Brightmane says: Not much.
Tahu Sagewind says: The elves speak of a moon goddess, did you know? They put great stock in the light given by the moon.
Aponi Brightmane says: Like Mu'sha.
Tahu Sagewind says: Just like her. The parallels I've heard are interesting. And it's no secret all druids, Shu'halo and elf alike, can call upon Mu'sha's light.
Aponi Brightmane says: Where are you going with this?
Tahu Sagewind says: I wonder, Hamuul has guided us well, and I've learned so much from him. The legends say that our people were druids when time began...
Aponi Brightmane says: I hear the "but" in your voice...
Tahu Sagewind says: ...but what Hamuul teaches is what the elves know. The night elves. They put such stock in their moon goddess, as creatures of the night.
Aponi Brightmane says: Do you think his teachings are wrong?
Tahu Sagewind says: No! No, nothing like that. He is an elder for good reason, sister. Mu'sha is one of the Earthmother's eyes, and she watches over us. That isn't sinister.
Tahu Sagewind says: But we're nothing if not people who strive for balance. Our warriors fight only when there is need. Our hunters take only what the tribes require to live, and use all they can when they do. The shaman stands as guide and mediator to the elemental spirits.
Tahu Sagewind says: And while we, as druids, are guardians of nature, I wonder if we've overlooked a key aspect of balance in all things.
Aponi Brightmane says: So are you going to bring this up to the elder?
Tahu Sagewind says: No, no. No need for him to trouble about a student's idle philophizing while he entertains a friend.
Aponi Brightmane says: I suppose so. It's not silly, though, what you said.
Tahu Sagewind says: Well' it isn't exactly a new thought, sister.
Talking about finding power in the sun. The moon is but one 'eye of the Earthmother." Link that to Sudden light wielding Tauren and tadaa. You get where their power is from.
Do I like it? I'm on the fence. It could have been done better, but at least they're actually explaining it, and in a way that does make sense.

Quote: Daros Moonlance says: A moment of your time.
Daros Moonlance says: Change is coming. It has drawn us out of the ruins of Eldre'Thalas and into the wide world once more. I have come to research this city and cannot stray from it, but if you are inclined, I have an errand for you.
Daros Moonlance says: My collegue set out for Darnassus to speak with the High Priestess there, that we might come to an understanding. Take this journal to Mordent Evenshade in the temple. It may help in his diplomacy mission.
Quote:Archmage Mordent Evenshade says: I suppose I should not be surprised at this cold reception. We have long been in hiding, and the separation from our brethren was necessary.
Archmage Mordent Evenshade says: That time, however, is done. Whether the residents of this young tree come to accept us or not, the Highborne are returning to light, and we wil not turn our backs on what we are.
Archmage Mordent Evenshade says: It seems I have time to talk. What is this regarding?
Daros' Journal
Archmage Mordent Evenshade says: Ah, the writings of Daros. He always was meticulous about tracking progress. His words may aid in explaining how far we've come.
Archmage Mordent Evenshade says: You have my thanks for bringing this to me. Perhaps we will see more of each other once it is understood we mean no harm.
Archmage Mordent Evenshade says: Sentinel, I would speak with your High Priestess.
Sentinel Stillbough says: You must wait for an audience.
Archmage Mordent Evenshade says: Must I? I doubt Tyrande has more pressing business.
Sentinel Stillbough says: You show some nerve coming to Teldrassil, Highborne. Your kind are unwelcome here. We have not forgotten the War of the Ancients or the minds behind it.
Archmage Mordent Evenshade says: The lure of power is great. Mistakes were made.
Sentinel Stillbough says: And we would not see those mistakes repeated. Return to your exile.
Archmage Mordent Evenshade says: I will not return until I am heard. There is too much at stake. There is a change on the wind, and we cannot ignore it. I have traveled from the dust and ruin of the past to come to an accord. The time may soon come when the kal'dorei require the knowledge and skill we have to offer. I will wait, Sentinel... but I will have my audience.
Archmage Mordent Evenshade looks over at the moonwell with a sigh.
Archmage Mordent Evenshade says: Calm yourself, Sentinel. I do not seek to use it. I am merely... remembering.
Sentinel Stillbough says: Recalling your treachery?
Archmage Mordent Evenshade says: Enough. I have been apart from this for centuries. The well within this temple may be a pale spectre of the Well of Eternity, but it still holds the same... beauty. Purity.
Archmage Mordent Evenshade says: I had forgotten.
Archmage Mordent Evenshade says: I do not believe admiration and wistful thoughs are against the societal norm.
Sentinel Stillbough says: Watch yourself, Highborne.
Archmage Mordent Evenshade says: You were the one who challenged me for merely looking. I still await my audience with Tyrande.
Sentinel Stillbough says: In good time.
Edit: Forgot this bit.

They really don't want them there, but when the world is suddenly being ripped to shreds, you can't be choosy with those who would have you as allies.

Is there one for Gnome Priests too? And where are these from so that you don't have to keep copying/pasting for us?

Ahh, but shouldn't whomever wants a Worgen dk have to do the explaining?
The hero class system so far breaks everything. I'd just as soon explain Gob, Drae, Tauren, Troll, etc DK's.
And not yet. As of the current PTR build these are the only hint quests that have been added, but I'd assume when 3.2.2 goes live there will be more. As well as more in 3.3. They have plenty of time to explain the new classes, so far I think they can all be explained fairly reasonably. (Cept Dk's Fock you!)

This was news to me but I just found out there will be Dwarven Shammys. Not sure if it has already been said or not but that's what the dwarves get I believe.

I'm just glad that Tauren are turning to something other than the Light, really. Tauren Priests/Paladins were my overall biggest concern out of the new combinations.
And Dwarves get Mage and Shaman, yep. Dwarf Shaman should make for some good Wildhammer RP!

So Why again are they adding in new "Sub-Races" like the Highborne to the Night elf creation for Mages and why are there now Gnome priests? Was there really a need for that?
I always thought things were rather balanced between factions but now every race seems to be able to be everything, it kinda takes away from the differences between Horde and Alliance. I felt the same way when Shammies were given to Drae and Pallies to BE. First of all it made no sense, Tauren should have gotten Pallies and Night Elves Shammies, it woul have made much more sense...
To me it seems to be Blizzard is just letting "peer pressure" get to them... Soon there will be gnome Druids and Undead Pallies... >.<

It's to make their Faction Swapping system more open. For instance:
Alliance paladin wants to change sides. Oh he is stuck becoming a belf. Now he can be a belf or a tauren.
Horde Shammy wants to switch. Now he can become a Drae, Dwarf, or Worgen.
And so on and so forth.
They've tried balancing classes that they've already got lore for (Dwarf shaman and mage, belf warrior) and classes that that they can make the most sense of.
