I hate that the background for their releases is purely based on game mechanics and pressure from their fans rather than based on workable lore that makes sense and isn't a biiiiig stretch. Maybe I should go play Lotro, where things make sense.

After the cataclysm reawakened a volcano on their home island one of the goblins' trade princes realized that there was good money to be made in offering panicked goblins a ticket to safety on his ship, taking their life savings - and then selling them into slavery. The shipwreck's survivors washed ashore on the Lost Isles off the coast of Kalimdor, where they discover that the island's dense jungles harbor many mysteries and more than a few unpleasant surprises.

There, the goblins of Kezan have found a new enemy in the Alliance – unexpected and unprofitable encounters with this faction have driven certain trade princes from their comfortable neutrality. Reforging old pacts with their one-time allies, the goblins have been welcomed into the Horde with open arms.

I've already explained them earlier in this thread. The Highborne have tried weaseling their way back into the alliance, whether the other nelves want them or not. So technically they are Highborne mages you'd be rolling, not nelf.

If you just add the skin-tone then you can have Highborne priests/druids/hunters/warriors.

Not really. It'd be up to us to regulate that through the profiles. If we do eventually update to this, that will likely be one that we do not keep playable.

Personally I am excited for the new changes and we are years away from it coming to coth, 1 1/2 at the very least.
I have always want to RP a Worgen and I am also looking forward for the Goblin vs Gnome feud continuing and going to new heights.

The great thing about this server is we can take what we like and drop the rest. The GMs can shape the world the way that suites them.

For example, I am not sure about the Worgen joining the Alliance perhaps they would fit better with the Sin'sholai?

Remember that Draenei were thought to all be what we now know as the Lost Ones before Burning Crusade was released, and Blood Elves were supposedly nearly extinct. Blizzard can change whatever they want at any time and I'm sure they'll at least -try- to explain why Tauren are turning to the Light and Highborne are allowed back into Night Elf society.

Will entire continents have to be changed or only selective zones? Cause even being alliance it is sad to see barrens look like its cracking apart. It just looks like blizz is nuking old world locations to spice up things.

It is working though.... STV looked awesome with a stream of lava flowing through it.

I am hoping they may give players a chance to fix the world in terms of cracked lava-oozing craters in the middle of Elwynn and maybe use sequencing. But I hoped that the Gnome Priest and Night Elf Mage thing wasn't true too.

World of Warcraft has just as much right and responsibility to create new lore just as the old Warcraft games and books did.
