Horde and Alliance?

I was just wondering, how in the world do they interact? Or do they at all? Can they still not understand each other on this server? I'm just curious - my fiance decided he wants a Blood Elf and we'd like to role-play together if at all possible. If not I suppose I can make another character.

They can interact, we they all speak common/orcish (except for Forsaken due to some hard coding by Blizzard), but you should keep in mind that there is a war going on, I suggest that you both read through "Rensin's Guide to interracial relations" found in the Articles and Guides forums.
