Harnesses as tabards?

Very unsure if this will work, as I'm not too familiar with how some items work on the "Paper doll" that is the world of warcraft character model. But there are some harnesses, like the barbaric harness, or the battered leather harness, that would look neat if it could be layered over the chest armor slot. Would this be possible by adding it as a tabard? If so, this would allow for harnesses or other items that could add some visual appeal to characters.

Just a thought. Not sure if possible!

From a technical standpoint, its not too difficult to set harnesses (or any other texture-based equipment) to any other layer- its simply a matter of changing a few file flags.
That being said, it involves changing file flags, meaning that it would require server modification at the very least, unless there sits an existing harness item flagged as a tabard. I'd suggest looking around in WMV for some such item.

You could also check out any NPCs that have something similar. Not sure if I've come across anything like that.

So the server just crashed which provided a perfect opportunity to test the harness I created (Grunt's Harness as a tabard). Well, it surprisingly worked:

For Corvus, it's on the last page of the tabard vendor.

Anyways, since this was such a success, would the almighty @Kretol consider doing this for more items? The first thing I can think of is http://www.wowhead.com/item=7939, but I'm sure there are many more items like so that'd look good as a tabard. If I were to be sure something would come of it, I could go through and make a list of such items that I would view as acceptable.
