First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player:
Well, I began role-playing on retail, on a server named Shadow Council. This was back in the Burning Crusade when WoW used to be worth playing on retail. I fell in love with a world that i'd never experienced before, and I felt as though I had found a place where I could completely immerse myself within a foreign world of mystery and wonder. To other people my hobby seemed nerdy and idiotic, but I knew they hadn't ever had an experience as compelling as role-playing. About two years went by, I stopped role-playing for a while since I couldn't afford to pay for retail anymore, I had almost forgotten entirely about my old hobby when I was forced to stay in bed for about two weeks recovering from a surgery I had. I was bored, and just by chance I searched for a way to play WoW for free. I found out about a whole fleet of WoW servers that were hosted privately. I played some of those servers for a while, testing them out, when I felt a strong urge for role-play. Discovering that nobody was really interested on those PvP oriented servers I decided to google "Private Role-playing Servers" and I came up with this site. I made an account, but once I saw that I had to write an entire application I decided to keep looking for something I could begin immediately. I found another server named "Millennium WoW" (No longer exists due to the core breaking) they had a much faster registration progress so I decided to begin playing their. I found a whole new world of role-playing, with custom race applications, spawned towns, and an awesome role-playing community! I played their for about two years daily, I spent about 6 - 8 hours per day playing religiously. After my first year I decided to apply for a staff position, and I was accepted as an "Event Master". I made countless events, had the time of my life doing so, and even spawned three entire custom cities as side-projects. Though I was living in poor conditions, and was constantly in pain from my surgery I found a place that I belonged, and a community that loved me. That all changed when the server shut down, and disbanded. I was left to reintegrate into the world of reality, and I can honestly say it sucks. It's been about a year (maybe even two years) since Millennium has been offline, and today I decided I'd try to get back into the world of role-playing. That's why I'm here, perhaps I'm chasing a dream that is unattainable, or perhaps I've found what I'm looking for.
What country do you come from? What is your primary language?:
The United States of America, English
How did you get into Warcraft?:
I got into warcraft about 8 years ago when my uncle introduced it to me, I've been playing off and on ever since.
How did you find us? Did anything in particular draw you to the server?:
I found your server about three years ago but I didn't ever decide to write an application, I found it the first time by simply googling "WoW private role playing server"
What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?:
I can honestly say I enjoy all types of role-play, as long as it's done well.
What is your favorite race/class? Why?:
My favorite race in the Warcraft universe would have to be the Mok'Nathal, because I adore their combination of raw power and cunning. My favorite class would have to be Beastmasters, partially because my favorite race (Mok'Nathal) tend to take up this class, and because they have great potential as fighters.
What are your expectations of this server?:
I expect a nice place to role-play and relax with a community of friendly people that share my love of role-play.
Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:
I can see why all of the rules and regulations are in place, and I agree entirely with all of them, they're put in place so that people can have a nice place to role-play without the distractions of outer drama, conflict, or any other obstructions that would hinder the role-playing community. If I had to choose a rule that appealed to me most it'd be no meta-gaming, because as a role-player that has dealt with people that do this I can tell you it's really not something I enjoy (very annoying).
Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action. Go!:
The tale of Voric begins in a small mercenary camp south of Westfall. Voric was born to an unknown father and a bandit for a mother. Though his mother was a bandit she still cared for her son as any mother would, she simply provided for him in the only way she knew how. Voric and his mother lived happily, until his mother was caught stealing from a rich merchant. Voric, at the age of six was forced to live on his own when his mother never returned from work. In the footsteps of his mother, Voric began to steal and he became very good at it. Unfortunately Voric made the mistake of attempting to steal from a mercenary. He was caught and with a grace unlike a typical mercenary instead of killing the boy, this mercenary decided to take Voric in and train him as a mercenary. Voric became a mercenary, and at the age of 17 he had already became a high ranking member of the Defias Brotherhood. It would seem that Voric was destined for a life without note, but fate can be an interesting thing. TO BE CONTINUED. ( In game )
Is there anything else you would like to add, ask, or otherwise clarify?: Nope
