battlefield 2142 anyone?

Before anyone says anything, yes, EA is evil and akin to you know who. Anyways!

When I first got this game, I could not for the life of me get it to work. Few years later, tried again, nothing. Now? Well, I pirated it, and I think it works, I just have to apply the new patch and do some other piratey things.

So I don't know anything about this game or it's population. Does anyone play/played it? Anyone know anything about this game? All I know is it's got big ass robot walkers and that's what caught my eye.

I had it! But alas, my discs are in NC, my homestate, and I currently live in CA. Sadness.

Good lord.. BF2142 was one of the first shooters I played online. It was awesome, despite all its flaws. BF3 just sucks compared to it if you ask me, from the way you boot up the game to the in-game mechanics.

Are people still playing this online? I haven't checked that game out in years. I still got the disks around, somewhere.

Sadly, only a very limited few are. Last I Played about a month ago, there was ten or so servers including those with the expansion. A fair few we're infantry only too, which is another shame.
