Spoiler:
"In the days following the death of the Traitor Prince, we the people of Lordaeron have striven to make our nation great once again. Yet even as our armies are strengthened by the Angels of the North and march fearlessly against our enemies, a great darkness looms over us Forsaken. Huddled in the corners of Capital City's streets and alleys, there are those of us who have not harnessed the power of the Shadow within themselves, and even now they hide in fear as the eyes of Hellscream watch their every move. Our people may be strong on the battlefield, but they are prisoners in their own homes, watched over like dangerous beasts and not the individuals they are! Is this how we are to live out our undeath, scared and scrutinized by -orcs- in our own city? The people need hope, they need strength. They need to embrace the Shadow, but they just do not know how..."

~Embrace of Shadows~
The Affairs of Lordaeron
Lordaeron is an interesting nation these days. With the death of the Lich King and the Wrathgate incident, the Forsaken have taken their revenge upon that which cursed them... only for the rest of the world to turn a hateful eye to them, destroying what little image they already had. The Alliance views them as monsters. The Horde views them as a liability at worst, and expendable at best.
In the wake of the Cataclysm and the outbreak of the Fourth War, the undead denizens of Lordaeron have found themselves in a tumultuous time indeed. Kor'kron overseers patrol their streets even while the Val'kyr raise their fallen enemies into undeath and increase the Forsaken armies by the day. The undead find themselves strong militarily, but domestically the morale is lower than the Banshee Queen would think. Squatters and miscreants populate the streets of the topside Capital City ruins, watched every day by the discerning glares of their orcish occupiers.
The city of the dead is enveloped with fear.

Taking Action
These change of times have not gone unnoticed, either. While the Forsaken people have always been a very polarized society, either completely embracing their undeath or hiding away in fear, it has always been an issue that has been ignored or cast aside in the eyes of the undead government. Now with their vengeance fullfilled and their very existence in danger of being challenged, the Forsaken can not afford to be so divided over matters, but who will be among the first to try and bring about change? Who will reach out to the shambling corpses of Capital City's alleys?
Maeia di Silvio is one such individual. Once a feeble weakling lost in the throes of impending mindrot, listlessly walking the streets of Tirisfal glades, she has since found the power that exists within her, and indeed within all Forsaken: the Shadow. The Cult of Forgotten Shadow is nothing new to these people, having put aside the Light which burned them. However, its tenets have always been best suited for those who are pro-active and actively seek the Shadow's power for themselves.
Maeia was not one such person, yet she still found and embraced its strength by having it delivered to her by the warrior Jared Richter and the clerics serving under his name such as Elias Longshadow and Atius Nicholas Mardonius. Her time servicing under the Harvest's banner has allowed her to find strength within herself to fight for her right to exist, and to fight for Lordaeron's future. Now, she wishes to bring that strength to her countrymen who, like her, are too scared or too weak to find it for themselves.
She opens her arms to all who are in need, and with a mother's love she will show them the true path to their destiny.

~Guild Information~
Embrace of Shadows is primarily a Forsaken guild, with its theme essentially built around being a charity organization with a Shadowy twist. Of course, the Shadow is not about selflessness and good deeds, but self-empowerment and strength, so this certainly won't be like your typical goodwill group. Don't expect this to be the Salvation Army with dead people. Our focus is not to coddle the weak, but to extend our arm and raise them up from the mire clay of self-defeat. There is strength in Shadows, and we will show all who are lost its power! No Forsaken shall be left behind!

Mother's Laws
I: The Shadow Mother's word is final. Never disobey or disrespect her word.
II: Remember the Virtues and live by them. Respect, Tenacity, Power.
III: You are all children of the Shadow Mother. Never strike against or take advantage of one another.
IV: Always seek to improve oneself, and never become complacent. We are helping you find your own strength, not coddle you.
And of course, all CotH rules apply as well OOC.
