I think that it's great. We're introducing the steps for what will become lore in the next expansion and adding new catalysts to our roleplay. The events are probably going to affect the vast majority of our characters and, if not, it'll at least be something that people will hear about, talk about, argue about, and that in turn will result in more roleplay.

Whether Cataclysm arrives in the near future or not, this is going to be good!

Recently, a Kaldorei caravan was reported missing. Investigations led to the discovery of ransacked carts, ravished by orcish steel, symbol of the Horde branded into the foreheads of slain elves which littered the scene. Needless to say, tensions between the orcs and elves are high.

Meanwhile, rumor spreads in Orgrimmar that people might be given food based on station in society, with warriors receiving the largest portion, and peons the smallest. When inquired, the Warchief immediately denied this rumor, firmly stating that he would never support such a discriminating action, nor would he allow it to be put into effect. Regardless, the food problem persists as orcs starve.

Tensions are rising: A Horde Caravan was recently attacked this day by Alliance forces in Ashenvale. After the destruction of the supplies - Silverwing and Warsong forces clashed in a momentary battle.
No deaths on either side, but several maimed among both Silverwing and Warsong.

A wave of mixed feelings rolled across the city of Darnassus on this day, as the infamous Warden Maiev Shadowsong returned to her own people. Despite previous disputes, Tyrande Whisperwind allowed the Warden to return in order to bring about a new generation of Wardens to serve their people.
