Does the Benediction priest-specific quest work?

There's a quest to obtain a really cool staff for Priests, Benediction/Anathema. I did it on retail, and I was going to do it here, but I wondered if the last leg of the questline even works. It's an event where you have to keep alive a certain number of NPCs during an assault.

I suppose I should find out if this works before going through the trouble of doing the whole questline. Anyone know?

Actually, Benediction and Anathema are two staves we aren't allowed to use. They're considered lore weapons.

It's not for IC purposes. The quest goes away in Cata, so I would like to have it before it's gone, is all.

Because it's awesome.

Edit: Also, another reason to get the real item instead of .lo rp it is because it's a two-in-one staff, which is unusual. If you .lo rp it you get two separate staves.

I waved it around on Aryeon for a VERY short while while looking for staves that'd suit him and had no problems.

It was deemed a while ago the staff wasn't allowed for IC use because it is a lore weapon. If that's changed since then, I don't know.

Well again, I mean jsut using the model, not the weapon itself IC. I've seen people use Quel'Selar and Quel'Delar IC but not AS Quel'Selar/Delar.
