My Dell Studio whatsit laptop has decided it doesn't want to fully awaken from sleep mode. For some reason. I even took out and reinserted the battery. No luck. So, it's off to Best Buy for me. Insert howls of disdain from the techies in here.
Could be an afternoon I'm gone, could be a week. Who knows?

Actually, it turns out the display totally died. So, I need a new laptop entirely, as the repair would potentially cost as much as a new system. Checking out Newegg.
Recommendations that cost less than $1,000 would be awesome!

Alienware is overpriced for what you get. Do some window shopping, you can get a modest gaming laptop for around 500 bucks.

I bought a Toshiba that valued around $300 but ended up to be $600 with all the add-ons of protection, spyware, and Mircosoft Office... But...
It runs WoW pretty good. It was a deal at Best Buy, but Alienware is the way to go if you want a real gaming laptop.
Hurry up and buy it! You're suppose to torment Baidin more.
(And I need to play him more!)

So, I found an old E-Machine tower laying around. Setting it up while I ponder a new laptop or tower. THERE HAS NEVER BEEN ANYTHING SLOWER. It looks to have WoW on it, but I am fairly sure it's back at Burning Crusade. I'll try to get MSN and Skype on this fossil.
