It was nice knowing you. I hope she treats you well.

Update.
... Well. Not quite. But, I just wanted to put a notice here.
My internet situation is largely unchanged. Still no stable internet is available to me and my RL is getting rather hectic what with phone calls from the police recently when some <censored> decided to open up our fences so our horses got a taste of the world outside their pen. Which means they've been out on the roads, and it doesn't seem like they'll respect any new fences we put up for them anytime soon. They'll just run them down all the same now that they've discovered there is tasty stuff on the other side of the fence in this new place they're at, as well.
That, and I'm turning my focus back to my studies. I need to get a grip on my situation, as the stress is beginning to creep up on me again.
Even more so since I found out today that my father has been discovered to be sick. Again. He's just been deceiving us for the last year to think that it had faded away. Evidently, it hasn't.
All in all, my activity will remain low. As long as you catch me online on messengers or the like, feel free to talk to me or ask me questions or whatever. And my PM inbox is always open and hungry.
Yup. That's about it.

Just a note to anyone who's wondered where I've been these past few days...
Well, I haven't been able to be in school to hijack their internet connection since Wednesday due to certain RL occurances, so I've been limited to borrowing my mother's computer when she's not looking (like now), which means I've only been able to lurk the forums from time to time and occasionally go on MSN through Meebo.
We'll see when the situation changes, but I've still got no stable internet connection (as you probably could've guessed). I'm really sorry.
The most reliable means of contacting me right now would be through forum PMs. At least, I can respond once I hijack someone's internet for a few moments at a time.

Hope things get better soon, Lox!
If ya need to discuss anything, just send me a PM. I'm usually on Skype too.

I'm on my mother's computer right now, because it seems like I've run into some problems with my own.
It's a laptop of this model, with Windows 7 Enterprise as the installed operating system (which was what I got with the computer).
I've had it for roughly a year and a half, and today it was saying it couldn't find my OS. And in the booting screen, it seemed like something was wrong with the BIOS. Everything I found on the internet with a couple of quick searches said the same thing: BIOS battery is dead or dying and needs to be replaced. I diagnosed the computer as well, and it couldn't find anything wrong. This was a pre-boot menu option, however.
So I suppose that everything's pointing to me having to somehow replace the BIOS battery. I'm not really sure how to go about doing this, but that's the deal. This means that my computer is out of comission until I can figure it out. (I know what the BIOS supposedly looks like, but I don't know how you go about replacing it inside a laptop. Desktops have it easier in these kinds of situations...)

You'd likely have an easier time handing it over to a tech company.
Don't mess with things if you're not savvy.

Mmm, I'm going to hand it in tomorrow. We'll see where that lands me.
Worst comes to worst, I'll be without a computer until school starts again. Which'd be the 10th of January.

There there.
Most stores don't take that long (though I suppose it depends on the place) and it may end up being one of those things they can fix in an afternoon.
Chin up and all that!

Bwahah, service agreements are awesome.
I called Dell's customer support this morning at the advice of the tech guy at school and they apparently know exactly what the problem is. Which is good. And they also have to help me due to the service agreement (since I have a fancy service tag at the back of it; I never noticed it before), so they're sending a guy to school tomorrow to look at and fix my computer.
See, their agreement with our school says they have to help with technical difficulties within 24 hours.
Why did I never think of something like that...?
