This looks really good! My main gripe, though, is enforcing the circulation of a tangible economy. Let's say you start a business and you hire employees. How are you going to pay them if people don't want to pay IC money, or ICly they tend to RP characters who are misers (as I tend to be). As much as I'd love to implement the circulation of IC money, especially in a business like Kapre's, I doubt it'd be put into practical use outside of implied finances.

As to the scaling of money:
In this regard I can't exactly explain. My own view was a less inflated version, but this one was taken (partially from being from a referenced RPG source, if I'm not mistaken). I would note though that these prices are supposed to represent a standard issue object though, not a peasant's wares or the like.
Though changing the price list in the long run doesn't mean -that- much; again it was just a suggestion, and holds no real bearing on player use in a way. If people want to use the examples, that's fine. If they don't, then they're just generous on the marketplace or so on.
Best deals anywhere?
To Immy: To have an IC business work using the IC currency you're pretty much going to have to buckle down and operate with currency; managing how you get income and dispense it would play a large part in running it with the IC currency (as in deciding on how much you want to pay and for what ((for instance, only paying those who make successful matches or charging a small fee for a profile)), and so forth); the big thing is that people can honestly still use invisi-gold, but those wanting actual coin have the right to ask for it.
So you might toss change around between friends and buy stuff from NPCs using invisi-gold, but when dealing with other players you'd use the items.
I hope that explains it. I'm having a bit of an off day, but I'll try to field any more questions or replies if you wish to give them.

A quick note, since I haven't seen it done thus far (and likely due to lack of direction);
Those with noble characters may submit a ticket for their extra wealth, though it's only available to one member per noble house.

Eh...
I like the idea, but I always liked it as 1 silver = 1 dollar, 1 gold = 100 dollars, and 1 copper = 1 penny. Made the most sense imo.
But it shall be cool to have this!

How do we make money for jobs that aren't product based? For example people who work as comedians, bar tenders, entertainers, and so on. They are makeing an income of sorts but a lot of people could be working for NPCs and even if they weren't they couldn't be expected to get money from their bosses (they only have so much money as well).
Also (I know I'm complaining left and right here. I'm sorry. I'm not trying to be annoying) I find it weird on how a buffing scroll is worth 20 gold. It's not a difficult task to write something on paper with a fancy ink (even if you do need to have super neat hand writeing), and although its ~magical~, magic is apart of every day life in WoW... I don't know... I just think that it's hard to actually get anything with an allowance of 5 gold and 5 silver. Still though, this system looks like it's got some promise. I hope to see how it works out when I get back from my absence. Money system or not we still needed a guildline for what to base our money around and I thank you SO MUCH for that.

Hmm.
To be honest I may endeavor to see if this list could be altered in some way, because I'll admit I was quick to go along with the favored list to get the system approved.
Anyways. On the notion of that, Joe, we're thinking of looking into something of a weekly quest to get standard wages, since many characters do have IC jobs and realistically would be getting money offscreen as well.
So that may solve that issue!

Good idea. Good idea

That'll solve the jobs problem AND put more money in the system so you it's easier to obtain from other people and more inportantly, easier to spend (no point in haveing money if everyone's to afraid of spending). Hope the system work all well and dandy while I'm gone. I don't wanna come home to a resession *chuckles*

Hello there!
I'm posting with an updated pricing list; hopefully this will seem a bit more palatable to you all?
Basically this was me going off of what players might be able to feasibly afford with the money allotted so... Well, here you go. Give me your thoughts. This is the current for the moment, I guess!

"Guild Purchases".
Does this imply that we can fork over gold to "own" something spawned for us? Or, we just delete the gold and do the usual claiming-but-not of buildings?

Oh, you're not intended to need to delete gold for anything.
The idea is just to give you an idea as to how the gold is weighed, and how to use it in RP. We don't want you to delete gold to RP in a house, because that would be taking away from RP in that building. You should be able to RP in anything we spawn, basically!
We don't want to hinder RP with the currency, we want to let it influence RP which has an importance in currency. Honestly I think we can be safe to say that people will RP in homes suitable to the character they're playing.
Er. Did that make sense?

I only noticed one thing worth complaining about (jeez, aren't I being a pain?). It's a little werid on how plate mail and steam warrior power armor (which is like plate only much more complex) cost the exact same, BUT BESIDES THAT, I think the new prices you set out for everything else looks fantastic. GL with the system, I hope it works out well.

Steam Warrior Armor isn't a more complex part. It's a clunky engineering battlesuit, nothing like plate.

I just expected that both would require similar costs in terms of creation; I guess I was mostly going by the durability of the armor, and in that regard set it about the same as plate.

mmk, I don't know much about steamwarrior so I'll quit whineing now. Great job on the new guidelines.
