I DO have the COTH realmlist file, renamed as realmlist with the original renamed to realmlistBLIZZ so as not to take effect. It is the exact one provided on this site, with these lines:
set realmlist logon.conquestofthehorde.com
set patchlist logon.conquestofthehorde.com
set realmlistbn ""
set portal us

Well, I just did that, and just tried to log into the game again, the problem still occurs.

You only have one realmlist too, right?

Regardless of if I kept the renamed original in the same folder or moved it out to the desktop (which I did just try), the problem still happens.

Are you using wow.exe? Also, try deleting your cache folder.

I have said before, yes, I am opening directly from WoW.exe, since it's the only thing I can launch the game from. And I did try deleting the cache a few times before and no change.

Huh. You may have to wait for Kretololololol, then. I've lost everything that's done it before. Sorry D:

Yyyyeah, this is pretty much driving me up the wall. I'm like the only person on this whole site who can't seem to access it at all even with all the correct tools and every single obvious solution thrown at me. I'm honestly trying to remain patient but I already gave up on this once.

How many WoW installations/folders do you have?

One. The folder from the torrent on this site.

As much as I hate to say it, you may wish to try going through the other process of installing - using the Universal Installer, install WotLK, and then patch up manually to 3.3.5a. I'll be honest when I say that I haven't personally tested the full folder torrent, but the only other option I can think of is to use a remote desktop app (like TeamViewer) so I can see what you see and check in the WoW folder for any... oddness.

I resorted to the full folder because every time I tried installing with the universal installer, I got a "scratched disc" error I couldn't figure out how to fix since Blizz's faqs are completely useless.
If this problem really is unfixable, I'll have to forget about all this.

I've never heard of the Universal Installer giving a scratched disk error.. considering there's no disk involved. I've also got no suggestions as to how you can fix the problem you have but I can say that I used the Universal Installer and 3.

to 3.3.5a patches that Kretol has provided in the Downloads section and they work. They're also pretty dang fast if you're internet isn't horribad.
