Rogue/Mage..?

Hi, I was wondering if a "Rogue/Mage" was allowed as your character you RP, I thought this would be a pretty fun idea (Pretty much a person who studies both Rogue arts and Magic arts), thanks!

Well, it would e allowed but your character would have to be a mage, and couldn't use any of your rogue abilities. It would have to be RP'd out.

Darn, no sort of "custom classes"? Honestly I almost would be best off going shaman and just being enhancement, though I was going to be a human so that wouldn't work >< Sort of was going to try to make a Sub rogue/arcane mage Or whatever mage spec has the most instant cast spells, forget which one that would be though XD.

Hybrid classes are not currently allowed, and I doubt they will be any time soon, sadly. :/

EDIT: I'm wondering why they aren't allowed I could see if someone was like "I am master of all bow down to me! I am a shaman/druid/warrior/rogue/mage/priest/paladin/death knight/hunter/warlock I am best in Azeroth at all!" Which would be insane...

EDIT EDIT: Hmm, I see "warmage" prestige class. I see I could make him a mage, and in a few months after working on him I could apply for him to become a warmage. Assuming it allowed to do something like that, make a character than upgrade to a prestige class, not have to make a new character with the prestige class. Heh.

Perhaps you mean Custom Model Characters? Those are characters given special models by our admins to stimulate RP.

Multi-classing is not, and has never been allowed.

You can only use spells/skills that are in your IG spell book.

You cannot shadow step if you're a mage, and you cannot blink if you're a rogue.

Prestige Classes are closed, so you cannot be a warmage either until the Prestige System is reopened "Soon".

Yes, you can be an enhancement shaman, although you probably cannot beat an experienced Mage in a spell duel or out heal a priest.

Do note that nothing prevents a Mage from stabbing someone with a dagger IC-ly, however.

Or, for that matter, being stealthy. They just can't ACTUALLY use stealth.

I was saying that you can be a mage and emote attacks and things and emote sneaking around, but you won't be able to use any actual rogue skills ICly or OOCly.

As I said it will be some time before this happens, I am only a visitor for the time being, though as I said humans cant be shamans, and warmage (atleast on the mage) is only available to mages :/ I guess I will just do as people said, just emote "sneaking" and such. Battlemagi are allowed, I think. They're magi who know how to fight in close quarters, more or less. Go read about them.

I kind of wonder...how do Spymasters use their stuff? They can change ANYTHING about their physical appearance at any given time. It SOUNDS like magic of some kind to me, but that might just be my idiocy for not looking into it...If Spymasters DO use magic of some kind to do that, I'd say it is possible for a Rogue to use magic. But Spymasters are prestige classes anyhow, so it doesn't really matter.
