@Nostra: Of course, but the mobs tend to be rather annoying as you'll have to kill them all the time. Gurubashi is a good suggestion, but I believe that most people are tired of Booty Bay, including Stranglethorn Vale.
I'll try to get some RP rolling there though, and ignore the mobs. I'll give feedback when we have tested out the spot and all.
And I thought about that island thing, but it seems that a guild are using it for headquarters. I'm aware that you can't claim a place, but I rather not ruin their RP.

Basically.
When we switched to the new core with the restart, one of the things we wanted to get away from was all of the unfinished or abandoned customized areas which had been meddled with in the past. Sometimes they were modified for the sake of an event that never kicked off the ground and was left unfinished or it was created to see RP for a week before people moved elsewhere after focusing solely in that area for said week.
First hand, it would be good if you could find an already established location to start off your RP in. Get it going first and we might be able to see something built for it in the future. We just want to see that there's genuine interest in something like this before we build it. We don't want things lying around and going to waste like before.

@Lox: I responded about that in my post before you, thanks.
If you have the possibility to come in-game I can show you the place, if you'd like?
Getting RP started in a place where there constantly spawns centaurs is tough for low levels, but we'll see.

Jurkey, there are some completely empty GM made camps in The Barrens, just hop on a Horde character, go to the OOC portal and go to the Horde IC something or rather, there is a few Barrens camps shown in there.

They are actually quite nice, but they are very... hordish and all. Besides, you can't go there as alliance.
The other one is placed perfectly IMO(the one that I request). I'll be trying to establish some RP there, so if you are willing to test it out and get some (hopefully)neat RP, feel free to join.

I just looked at it, and it seems to only house a few "Affray Spectators" around the little fighting area, it includes a house with bunkbeds, a room filled with weaponry and some armor and training tool, a room with a speakers corner and a room for eating. I really think this might be perfect for what you have in mind.

I think if Fray island had a GMI portal, it would actually be the best thing to happen to RP since...well...anything.
I would keep character's there, and insist on RP there. Its too perfect

Fray Islands pretty cool I still stand by my previous statement on this idea saying that Ganking might get a bit out of hand. And there should be some rules in place to ensure it doesn't become a find an excuse to kill someone area.

Ganking is impossible with you still needing OOC permission to kill someone.
The advantage is while you need OOC permission, you dont need a get out of jail free card from the GM's for doing it in a public place.

You know how easy it is to get an IC reason. Five bucks says if this goes through were going to see LFG become Looking for Character Warning.

Huh... Fray Island would be perfect. I remember it got loads of RP before restart when a certain guild was using it. In fact when that guild started using it, it became a hotspot for a few days where a lot of sparring and such went on, actually caused the guild to move. :P It's perfect for a lawless area and could easily be a new hotspot if done right.

I don't know many characters who simply kill for no reason at all. It would be a simple place to grab a drink and have tavern RP and such, but instead if you rubbed someone the wrong way, there would be consequences instead of hiding behind guards. I guess you can say it's tavern RP but with a bit more action and risk. It also has the potential for more shady RP.

The character warning system is just that, a warning. A warning saying "if you continue doing X, my character may be compelled to attack yours"
X cant just be "I dont like you" or "You looked at me funny". Even the most deranged people do not kill other's for funny looks, or just a simple dislike.
If you cant back up your motives for wanting to kill the character of another player, then A. Your character warning is not valid. B. You should really rethink your character.
If someone gave me a character warning, without a reasonable motive, I'd just tell them I wouldn't want to RP with them. I wouldn't want to RP with someone who found fun in destroying other people's fun and hard work just for the sake of it.

I understand what you're getting at with Fray Islands, it -is- being used by a a guild as a HQ. Now I know that you can't claim areas for yourself, but it still kinda. . .jerks me the wrong way, so to speak. It's like a kid playing with a toy in kindergarten. The toy is for everybody. Anybody can use it, but right now, this kid is playing with it. then the teacher or whatever, takes the toy away from him and gives it to another kid and says "This toy is better for this kid."
