There are camps spawned in the barrens.
Just sayin'.
Then again they may only be visible to Horde characters- Alliance can use them, though, just claim that its an abandoned orcish camp.

I would very much like to see those camps Rigley. Is it possibled that an innkeeper and a couple of bodyguards can be spawned there?
And someone said something about a huge chaos.
The idea is not to make an arena which is made for everyone to kill everyone. The point is that karma really comes into play - you keep good friends people, people won't hurt you. You began to go on a rampage in the midst of the inn, people will jump on you. I don't think that many people who go there just to kill other PC's, cuz that's kinda silly.
There should only be guards inside the inn/tent and due to server rules, you are not allowed to kill NPCs.
You can fight outside if you want to, it's not their problem.

You can teleport to these areas from the teleporter if I recall. They're under the teleporter horde locations.

Jurkey, also, have the bodyguards be IC. We have enough mercenaries for you to hire them.

I'm going to revert back to this - Make Booty Bay more lawless, make it a pirate bay.
Wait a second, wasn't Booty Bay a pirate bay in the first place. . .?

Death is bad for business.
And also, might I just add that as long as there's no one around and you're far from civilisation... you can do whatever the hell you want. Essentially, the whole world is your 'lawless city'. If you want to do stuff that isn't allowed in towns... then just don't go into them.

Death of course would be a problem, but the occasional bar fight would be excellent! There isn't really any type of fight better then trusting a drunken bar fight in the middle of a Tavern, fighting over tables and chairs, getting random people involved accidentally and all of a sudden, bar warfare! The Goblins would even bet on who'd win until something is broken, then they'd swarm.

Yeah, but it's not like the middle of Swamp of Sorrows is a hotspot.
Adding guards inside the inn, to prevent people from slaughtering each other. They wouldn't care about brawls, but just about corpses inside the inn.

And it never will be if noone ever goes there. Trust me, I've seen it happen many, many times. Used to be noone ever was in Booty Bay, for instance, everyone hung about the Crater instead, but then a few of us started roleplaying regularly in BB and bam, people started to be drawn there.
It's hard to tell how long any given hotspot will be around, but if a few players, even two or three is enough, go somewhere and invite others to join them that place will likely be a hotspot for awhile. Maybe you can make the new Booty Bay?

There needs to be more gray areas anyway.
I think I like the idea of migrating -- not too frequently, but moving around when too many "do gooders" show up to play lawful evil and get their quotas in.
Is it possible for players to act as barkeeps instead? I haven't seen a pc bartender/chef in ages.
I'm still imagining this can all start out as a kind of black-market swap meet and evolve from there. It would give it a reason to exist in the first place.
As far as BB goes, well, I've got an alcoholic dwarf to roll.

Wouldn't see why not? Same as merchants, bodyguards and all. People can play those roles themselves, if two people would roll a merchant, three would roll a bodyguard and one barkeep, you'd have your black market already.
Edit: And with that thought, I'm thinking of rolling a merchant with shady wares and all.

I like the idea of PC barkeeps and stuff, but without a -safe zone- not many people will come there, and I believe people will gang up on other people for fun - just because they can.
Ah well, I've been talking to Derick/Lex/Zaris and we are gonna migrate soon, and people can join up eventually.

Then make a safezone with PC bodyguards.

It's not like they are gonna hang around all the time. But yeah, I suppose it's the only option.

It's already been declared that the indoors will be "safe," right?
Ofc, that won't stop a good barfight. You know, one that results in "Hey, hey! Take it outside!" and then the real throwdown happens.
