Then I say we ask the GMs or a group of people to look for the truth on this and vote an offical amount of years past for CotH.

I doubt that'll happen, WoW's timeline has allways been a bit wonky with different interpretations everywhere, not even Blizzard seems to know for sure what year it should be by now.

Yes, that is true. But it was set before the book "The Shattering" was released or any certain lore of the Cataclysm were present.
