There's been quite a few incidents of drama lately. While I will not comment on anything specifically, I will say this, and institute it as law, here and now:
You can not retcon character death. Period. You put yourself in the position to be killed, you RPed your character dying, and you accepted those consequences when they happened. It was on you, you chose to allow it to happen. Retconning it is a cheap way out of a resurrection post, and that's not a good thing.
As an aside, I'm looking into ways to revise the character warning system so that character death is not as common. We'll see how that goes in the future.

So, is this rule from here on out? Or does it apply to what happened as well?

I think it's both. Not sure though.

From now on. Too much time has passed that I wouldn't want to try to apply this retro-actively, as I think that might be even worse.

I agree on this. But the point is, a character death should involve your story, and they shouldn't hand those out randomly.
I recently got killed, and I didn't mean to make a drama out of this, but it was dumb and ridicilious on how I got killed. I had apparantly nothing to say about my death. Although I was warned with a character death warning, they played with their own kind of combat, which is normally agreed on before the fight.
Aswell, I didn't want to have any involving into the people that killed me their RP. That's why I find it difficult to write a character post about this. It gives me a bit messy storyline, also for my guild. To wait a week for it doesn't bother me at all.

I think we have so much character death drama not only cause people have been allowed to retcon it, but its also so easy to come back from death. I've even found while playing a "healing" Class, that many character's befrend you seemingly for the sole purpose of having you around to ressurect them should they die. I think there should be a system where there is only a chance of ressurection working, rather than a guaranteed way out of having your character die. Death should be something risky, not simply a week out then back. maybe it should just be a roll of the dice, such as /roll 100, if its below 40, the ressurection failed, the spirit had allready passed on.
But yes, Im glad something was done about this. Thank you Grakor!

If you didn't want to be involved with our rp, then why did you roleplay with us? You could have easily walked away from the rp, yet you chose to take two of our characters to bed. This doesn't sound like not wanting to be involved.
We didn't agree to a roll fight because it was an assassination. It wasn't a one-hp roll fight despite what you think. It was just a killing. Not all deaths are a result from a brawl.
You weren't forced to do this. This was a result of your choices, and you had three character warnings. The only reason why you are upset is that you anticipated we'd be having a roll battle. The thing is that not all roleplay is done by a roll battle.

Oh and you think they shouldn't warn players for this? I agree, I accepted a Character Death Warning, that doesn't mean I was aware of the 1HP thingy, which is in my eyes godmodding. Place yourself inside of me, and think. I'm truely dissapointed if this is going to happen more in the future. I call it pestering not roleplaying.

There was no HP. It wasn't a roll fight. You were stabbed in the neck, and you put yourself in a position for character death. You were warned not just once but three times for it. Also you got in three GMs and Kretol to overlook this.

Take this elsewhere, or cut it out all together.
