I have already put 4.0.1 and 4.0.3 on my wow folders . I made a duplicate and tried the de-patch...did not work so what now?

You may have to 'de-patch'. Sounds meticulous, so there's a few guides to doing this. Most notably: this one.

Actually, de patching is broken. You do have to redownload the game, sadly.

Do I need to delete my wow temp folder too? Then re patch manually so it does not pass the patch,
