Druids of the... FANG!

Yes, yes I know there's an instance in The Barrens called thw Wailling Caverns containing the madened druids of this sect. HOWEVER! the druids of the fang must've gotten on from then, since I mean, lorewise, you've already free'd Naralex pre-Burning Crusade.

I would like some more feedback from this aswell. I personally think it should be plausible to be from the Druid sect of the Fang. I do however, also see that it would 'cause some major problems, as the druids of the fang transform into snakes and not regular animals (mostly) and the fact they have more adept spells in the lightning category.

Anyways, I've posted the idea, blast out 'dem opinions folks.

I really like this idea! However, I'm pretty sure we will not be able to play Druids of that derivative, but I guess it wont hurt to check.

It is a good idea but yeah, the issue is getting something like that actually approved. I doubt it'd happen, but it is worth giving it a shot! If it does, though, I'll definitely roll one.

Well even back in the day, there was a small group of not-crazy Druids of the Fang.

The thing is, their totem is the Snake. That is an animal form not normally available to Druids in-game and therefore might be an issue somewhere along the line.

As I see it, the two difficulties with being a Druid of the Fang is the uh...snake part, for one. Unless a custom spell or something can be added, that part would be forced to be left entirely to /e emotes. The other is the issue of if it would be prestige or not. Heh. Just the two things I see. As for the insane part: RPing an insane character isn't that hard; you just need the imagination to...I don't know, think of how an insane person would respond differently to situations that wouldn't normally be something to worry about.

Yes, they were, unless you want to say they stayed insane and fucked up for the duration of the burning crusade and wrath of the lich king. I see no issue as to saying you're a druid of the fang IC'ly. 'cept for yeah, the part of shapeshifting and using lightning spells.

And I highly doubt they'd stay insane for such a duration of time, especially since you free'd their master already in vanilla WoW. (before the burning crusade) And as stated on WoW wiki, there were sane druids of the fang even while the insane ones were there. And If such a sect was to be allowed, it would create more inter-racial / faction RP between the taurens and the night elves since both races are in this sect, infact this is the only sect were the taurens really work with the night elves persay. with an equal ratio between taurens and elves.

Interestingly, there were so many Druids of the Fang that a lot avoided Naralex's fate. However, they're not so popular anymore considering the awful awful things they did, and the majority of the current Druids of the Fang are supposedly young, impressionable Elves with more or less just a basic mastery of their disciplines. This is mostly because the powerful Fang Druids got caught up in Very Bad Things™ in the Emerald Dream. So it's probable that you could have one. Is it a good idea to make one? Well, that's debatable. Because you can't use the forms ingame it would be difficult to say the least, and since it does fall under "Druids with very specific totems" it would be one of the new Type I Prestige Classes (And a Special Profile).
