Virus and system restore

Well, I got a very bad virus, so I had to system restore. Now no keyboards work on my computer, and i have this error. "Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware because a previous instance of the device driver is still in memory. (Code 3" You guys seem pretty tech-smart, and I cannot find help anywhere else! I'm using an onscreen keyboard.

Also, system restore doesn't quite work like that. You probably still have the virus unless you went through the painstaking task of manually removing it, which is never easy and always annoying, and not always 100% do-able.
I suggest reformatting if it was a bad one. Back-up your stuff and do a clean install of windows from the disc.
