Heavy FPS drops?

Recently, my game has suddenly, for no reason and out of nowhere suffered extreme FPS drops. We're talking as low as 0.6 FPS. And that's. . . Really freaking bad. I haven't been able to come up with a reason as to why and thought maybe somebody here knows better. My connections has been fine when it's happened and it's NOT my graphics card, seeing as how I can still play Just Casue 2 on the highest setting without any troubles.
