(OOC Note: Below is a copy of a poster, printed in legible Common. It can be found scattered about the bars and gathering spots of most port cities.)
"Hrothgar's Landing is an island located off the northern coast of Icecrown, an island formerly home to a tuskarr village until it was conquered by Drottinn Hrothgar and his kvaldir. The island is now a mist-shrouded staging point from which the kvaldir, the "sea vrykul" of the North. There they stage attacks against Silver Covenant and Sunreavers' ships in the waters between the island and Icecrown."
The Frostbrand Marines are a Non-Profit Military organization that will be mobilizing for a series of naval battles against Kvaldir forces around the island, as well as planning for a land battle to gain territory, displace Kvaldir forces and access mineral and aquatic resources. In order to avoid more aggressive, high causality combat between Horde and Alliance forces over who is able to lay claim to the island, the force will be setting up shop and making Hrothgar's Landing a neutral port that can be used freely by all factions.
In addition, we will be combating piracy and other rogue elements in the waters and shores of Northrend. By curbing rampant piracy in the area, Alliance, Horde, and Neutral factions should see a modest boon to their economies with increased, safe naval trading between the mainland and Northrend ports.
Our vessel is a well armed Second War frigate able to hold a large crew and ample supplies. We will have access to this ship within the next week or two, and will be setting sail once sufficient crewmen have been amassed. Additional crewmen may join even while the ship has set sail, and can be brought aboard with the aid of our magic users.
The Frostbrand Marines attempt to take Hrothgar's Landing will rely on speed and guile. We accept all races, with the exception of Forsaken & Ebon Bladesmen.
The death of the Lich King does not mean peace and happiness around the world. The Vyrkul, rogue undead, and other hostile forces still exist on Northrend. There is still a battle to be won.
Let us bring the war to Kvaldir, their mists will not hide them forever. For Azeroth!
