I was trying to register both my first and second account and it said "This email has an account already.

Correct. No second accounts for the time being. Those will once again have to be added manually.

Apart from random encounters, it seems pointless to RP at the moment. I'm totally ready but I'm sketchy on timezones. It'd be awesome if the server switch were an event on the event calendar.

Fortunately, there is none any more! We've removed all of the server-specific world events and aligned Conquest of the Horde with Blizzard's timeline. Now, getting to know all of that is fairly overwhelming, but we do have people who enjoy discussing lore and events who would be able to help you!
