If our curiosity was sated, and I can see plenty of reasons why it wouldn't including more drama but i'm an avid believer in curiosity never killing that cat because Loxy is still here, it would be entirely our own warnings. It'd be like reports day or something, where everyone is given their report and it's their choice if they wanna show their friends. It'd never be put on the forums as a thread because it's silly and it's private stuff.
Any agreements on this, if it were to happen?

What good would it do? All I can see coming from it is more drama, you say you could handle it, but there's that other guy that will just explode even at some minor thing.
Besides, we usually give out warnings after putting something serious on the thread (or something that can easily be fixed by a friendly reminder) so people know when they've done something wrong. We also give out final warnings listing all rules the player have broken together with a three day suspension, if the player would continue breaking rules after that he'll simply be banned.

Actually, it sounds like more busy work for the GMs to do, and from what I understand the profiles duty alone takes up a lot of time. I think they wouldn't want all their time on CotH to be work work work. At the end of the day, does it really change anything if you knew what happened in your warning threads?

I'm not sure what's come to be so important about the warning threads.
Usually if it's serious enough to be reporting about it, we've spoke to you already.
I actually am a bit surprised that people are confuzzled by the existence of a warnings forum.
Also the idea of a 'reports day' or somesuch gives me these flashbacks to a teacher showing one person their grade in the class. Then the whole classroom is swarming around. I guess I'll continue with this metaphor; I'm sure that just as in that situation we'd also have a few who would argue indignantly over their report.
Gee. That probably didn't make nearly as much sense as I wanted it to. Maybe I should refrain from posting minutes after I wake up.

This has absolutely nothing to do with the conversation going on in this thread at the moment but would a GM be so kind as to have the absence threads in question locked and removed from public view? They are rather hideous blemishes on this server's history and would surely make a horrible impression for the newer members who might happen upon them.

Yeah
I realized m'self
No report cards!
Zuh.
Why would they be removed? I mean... Other rage quit posts haven't been removed either. They're just people expressing their opinions about the server, and if someone is lazy enough to read them through but not willing to read forward, to the explanations, he'd be breaking the rules of the server, really.

I know of a few grand exit posts that have been removed in the past, and far less offensive threads have been locked and removed within minutes of them having been posted.

Twas just curiosity! Theres nothing big about it, but if it's serious people are told about it then it's put my mind at ease. This wasn't a serious suggestion.

I don't often make absolute statements to suggestions like this, but I'll make one here: we will never, ever show warning threads on anyone, not for themselves or for others, requested or not. These threads aren't intended to be read by anyone, and it would just be further argument bait that would serve no purpose.
Also, a good point was raised...if a serious note is on there, likely you were already talked to about it before, seeing as a GM would have said something at the time it happened or would have spoken to you when a complaint was made by someone else.
Have you hugged an orc today?

Thanks for clearing this up. Really does put me at ease.

i've been here since the azshara inn, and spottily after that, visiting for a month or shorter at various points throughout the years, and i've come up with my own little feedback/suggestion.
gamemasters, no matter what their level or the content they deal with, should be a more active presence within the game itself. I admit, one of the best RP's i've been in was with Kretol in Duskwood just because i was amazed that I was seeing him in-game.
the GM's have always seem, to me, like a "big brother". Always hearing them on the forums and in introductions/profiles make it seem, to me, that they aren't as big as a presence in the game itself.
just my 2 cents.

It is very rare, at least for me, to not see at least one other GM on at any time, of course it depends on where you live with timezones and such but during most of the EU and US days there's a GM or two on, if not more.

We are, indeed, active in the IC world, if that is what you're insinuating. It's just a matter that not all of us are on our namesake characters, or even really remotely popular characters, all the time.

Well you should be, otherwise how are we supposed to bother you guys?
