Sorry if I seemed argumentative Secrettom. For the record, Hawk, I wasn't saying because Illidan could do it, I could do it. Was merely comparing the scales of power and balance.
Back on topic, class guides would still be a good addition.

Class guides
/support.
I would also recommend them being made official by a GM(s) so people would not push you back after you tell them that they're actually not Super-powerful-Archmages-with-thereisnospooncheat.
This was not a referration to anything, nor was this later one sarcasm.

It could be useful, but in my personal opinion we'd have to go through loads of abilities and question their very existence yet alone if they could be pulled off by players, and the staff already have a lot of stuff on their plate.
Plus it doesn't matter what the GMs would say. People would still argue against it and we'll get topics like these popping up more. They don't really need a guide as much as common sense is needed, seriously. Again, Blizzard kiss and polish the rear of PvP and PvE players because they're the main source of money.
Personally I'd say it's not mandatory, though other GMs are free to pitch in of course.
EDIT: I explained that horribly. Hopefully that's better.

I think the best thing for your character is to apply for him to become a prestige class.
Oh wait, he's dead.
(Sorry, I had too!)

And, I'd do it myself if I'd have any knowledge about these things.
... Or if I wouldn't be a horrible judge of things.

If there were guides like that around this topic and the argument before it wouldn't have been made.
When you approve a character whose had a story behind it of working in a field for a while, and they work on that field for a while on the server, given magic and the option in game it makes sense that some 'high tier' stuff can be used. Though one might say WoW focuses more on the PvE and the PvP players, that doesn't mean the stuff doesn't have equal RP value, even if they don't give in an explain it. We could do that ourselves. CotH is just one of the ares where we aren't allowed to be that 'high tier'.
With all of the restrictions CotH places; it would take a lot of these topics off your hands if you had guides there, or had someone sticky/wiki player made guides(With possible edits), and if such a topic or argument arose, just point someone in the direction of said guide.
Also, already touched on the subject of prestige. There's no prestige involved with the 'high tier' warlock stuff, and I doubt one would be made or it would either be a waste of a class compared to others like Assassin, or it would be a too overpowered. Anyways, we should keep on the main topic of this thread, and that's to make class guides.

Uhh...
Uhh...
I get Jetniss' point.
I know this is a bit of a random turn, but
... I would be up to list some abilities that can and can not be used ICly, with the help of others. As in, they could be some ground rules, no?

This would probably be a good idea. Maybe we should make a topic in Articles and Guides

It's not allowed to actually post there, we'd have to post it in the General Discussion first.
I'll get on it sometime if I will.

I would do some as well, but I don't know enough of what's restricted. It's not a matter of common sense or intelligence involved here, it's a matter of what the GMs state is too overpowered, which would take GM aid in making.

What I'm saying, is that first we restrict the ones that are completely out of reach
Metamorphosis, etc.
Then, we start asking people which others would be restricted. Or GMs.
EDIT: I WORDED THAT HORRIBLY.
We restrict nothing!
We just tell people that those abilities would be overpowered.
EDIT2: Thought about with logic.

I know every rogue ability that basically isn't an attack isn't IC. Metamorph is out. I believe Holy Wrath is out.

I'll list them up. >.<
This is getting a bit spammy, don't you think?

I'll send you the PMs when the server is back up and I can look at the rogue talent tree. (Too lazy to look 'em up. x3)

A big problem and the main reason why I doubt we'll see any of guide like this be "officially endorsed" by GMs is that even among us opinions are different wether certain abilities and spells are IC or not. Generally, I think one can avoid spells that seem a bit OP (example: mind control, insta-super-heals or maybe turning into a demon, heh), and leave the rest up for discussion.
