Help with Login issues for a friend.

Friend of mine created his server account today, but he's getting the battle.net merger error. His realmlist is set correctly, but it's still picking it up as retail. What known workarounds are available for this, if any?

Also, how do you do the whole folder copy deal to switch retail and CotH? I'd like to know the process if you can explain it.

He has patched up. Simple de-patch that won't take an hour and a half??

Also, he has a very unstable internet connection at the moment, so he called and asked me to post it. ._.u
