More mac help! Why isn't it working!

For the few out their who use macs I would ask for any help what so ever. I've tried almost every thing and I'm feeling very frustrated, discouraged but will continue to try. I've had little to no success over the past 10 days, and I'd like any help what so ever.

First question: Can you connect to the official servers?

If you can, ALL YOU NEED TO DO is download the realmlist.wtf file and put it into /Applications/World of Warcraft/something or other/enUS/

I know, wicked specific, but I don't have my Mac in front of me.

Ok I reinstalled, patched up through blizzard, and entered an old account name and got the "Need to upgrade to a battle.net account." I change the realmlist, and still nothing.
