Ok, I set up my Server account, and when I downgraded my WoW, and signed in under patch 3.0.9, It started making me download 3.1.0. I need help with this. >.<
Edit: Okay, I managed to fix that, but now, I have a new problem.
I share the computer I play on with both my mother and little brother, and, they play retail. when I went to get on retail, It tried downloading 3.1.0
What I had did was make a seperate folder in the C:/ called World of Warcraft2 and had that one with the stuff needed to access the server of CotH. whenever I would play it (I planned) I would change the Name to World of Warcraft, and switch the original one to World of Warcraft1. OK, I am not a good software genius, I am more of a hardware kinda guy. What do I do?

We really need to put the "Have you ready our guides and polices" thrread back up.
"Server Information & Policies"
Connecting to the Server
Edit your Realmlist.wtf to read:
set realmlist coth.game-host.org
set patchlist coth.game-host.org
set realmlistbn ""
set portal us
^ The above prevents all patching.

Revert the one you want to use for retail back.
edit your config.wtf in your data\enus folder to read
set realmlist us.logon.worldofwarcraft.com
set patchlist us.version.worldofwarcraft.com
set realmlistbn ""
set portal us

Ok, I did that.
New problem. (I swear, this game hates me)
I try to pull it up without the launcher, through the Wow.exe file. I get a critical error.
I try pulling it up through the icon on the desktop, and it tries to download a patch. What do I do now?

Try using the wow.exe for this servers version and post your error if any here. Also if your realm list file reads-
set realmlist coth.game-host.org
set patchlist coth.game-host.org
set realmlistbn ""
set portal us
You can use the launcher.exe as well.

Ok, my realmlist for this one says that exactly, and I could log on using the Launcher.I got all the way to the server. NO error or anything. Currently, the WoW that is supposed to be for Retail is in C:/Program Files/World of Warcraft1.
What now?

go to C:/Program Files/World of Warcraft1\data\enus\realmlist.wtf
edit that to read
set realmlist us.logon.worldofwarcraft.com
set patchlist us.version.worldofwarcraft.com
set realmlistbn ""
set portal us
Run C:/Program Files/World of Warcraft1\launcher.exe
It should patch only your retail version now.

Okay, the WOrld of Warcraft1 one already says that. So, if I run it, the patch will ONLY affect that one?
Edit: Wait, I couldn't install. It couldn't open the WowError.exe file it said.

Try renaming your C:/Program Files/World of Warcraft1
to read C:/Program Files/World of Warcraft
Then go from there.

Just did that. On the error it told me to Run the Repair, so I am, hoping that since the folders have different names, the one for this server won't be checked.
