Well, to my knowledge, the casters 'energy' is also dependent on the casters mind. I think.
So a Gnome for example would be also to last longer than say a human, without losing so much energy. However, I'm not sure if this alters the casting time. Most likely not, but it wouldn't make no sense whatsoever if the casting time was somewhat hastened slightly with the right brain power.
