I know there'll be an apron item available to players come MOP. However, since that's still a way off, I was wondering if there are currently NPC tabards that're fully white and could be made into player items? Alternatively, perhaps the barber's drape could be made available?

There's a trick for that..

Go get the deathguard tabard and put it on. You sit on the barber shop chair and then get off, the barber drape thingy will remain on your chest.

Well, I did some poking around and, instead of going such a roundabout way, I managed to find the displayID for the Barber's Drape which is 54559. Of course, if Kretol doesn't feel like it, I'll end up going the rather roundabout way, but still.
