Looking for Family and Ne'er-do-wells

Well. It is a long-term goal of mine to kindle political RP and nobility RP with my character, Byron.

I am currently seeking more Belves to round out the Nailo family tree. Currently, House Nailo is disgraced- the patriarch, Lord Nelson Nailo, is under investigation. That is my current explanation for why the Nailo family is without fortune or influence.

That said, I would love to add cousins or half-siblings or younger siblings or what-have-you to the mix. If you've got a viciously self-interested Belf and would love a family member with which to verbally spar, I tender for your consideration Byron Nailo.

Some details on the house would be good, like what it used to do, how they made their money, etc.

Fair enough. The thing is, I'd like whomever is interested to have just as much a hand in creating House Nailo as I do.

Here is what I have.

- Current Lord Nailo is Nelson Nailo, Byron's father. Byron has a half-sister in another PC, Sophiah. She is from a second marriage. As such, Byron is considered 'Firstborn', and therefore, first in line to take over House Nailo.

- Lord Nailo is currently under investigation by the Guard. The reasons are not completely fleshed out- needless to say, Lord Nailo was engaged with some illegal political maneuvering.

- Lord Nailo is a retired Captain of the Guard.

That's pretty much all I got. I imagined the Nailo family heavily invested in trade, but again, the exact details aren't set in stone, since I want collaboration.

Well, I could have Krian Duskbinder somehow be a cousin, maybe the mother was the one directly related, and married to the husband's name. So, perhaps while Byron is going through the family records, he could find Krian?


Lord Nailo could've ordered the assassination of a noble, reasons unknowned. /shrug


I suppose trade is fine, I'm pretty flexible since Krian won't be directly related to the House. I guess he'll be shocked to find that he's a noble. :P

Well. Right now Byron has a single half-sister, Sophiah, from Lord Nailo's second marriage.

Its up to you, really, just gimme a heads up how he is related to the family.

Krian Duskbinder can be a cousin, his mother was the one directly related, a sister of Nailo, and married to her husband's name. Would explain why she had some moneys and a good living.


Krian's parents are dead, so perhaps Krian is contacted after being found in the House records. Otherwise, he would have no idea he was apart of it.

Sounds good. Assume that Byron had someone contact Krian- he is, after all, trying to unify the family for some better publicity.

Righto, should we be making a guild for the House, or nah? I have Krian guild-less, because he's open to go wherever.

If you want I could make another character. He would probably not care anymore about their old status and fortune though. He's might be stuck up, sort of mean at times, and just a "party all day every day" type of guy( imagine Tony Stark from the beggining of Ironman
cept belf). Would this work out nicely?

You are welcome to create just such a character- but keep in mind that Byron is looking to ruthlessly expand the family fortune and influence. Having been, previously, a playboy himself, he will likely do his best to at least ensure that your character is useful in some capacity.
