Okay so I just wanted to ask for feedback to this question.
I'd like to ask, what are all the possible ways to bring someone's sight back icly, after actually losing the eyeball.

Also, is arcane an option?

I don't believe it is possible to fully restore his sight back to pristine condition after he's actually lost the -whole- eye
You'd have to have the same thing occur to you that occurred to Illidan and several other demon hunters.
A Gnome could possible construct a mechanical eye, but that's very technical so you'd need the best of the best Gnomies to do it I think. Perhaps he sees only one shade of colour in that mechanical eye, like all the shades of green or something.

"Think about the rain dance for just a moment. Don't you think you'd need rain dance practice? I mean some guys don't know it, some may have forgotten. You know what I wonder? Does it rain during practice? If it doesn't how do you know you got it right? And if it does ... why bother with the dance in the first place. Hey, need a little rain? Call a practice!"

Well, being serious, in our own world it's a very difficult thing to transcribe a mechanical part to a human body. You hear some people have mechanical hearts installed that require HUGE maintenance and alot of money to see the doctor. There's also the possible the body will reject the foreign object. I'm just thinking, even with the assistance of magic, that it would still be a very difficult process even in WoW. Perhaps arcane magic, in all it's perversions, can restore some partial sight.
Perhaps only people glow in that eye or something. You'll have to ask someone who's more familiar with the Lore behind WoW. I'm just here to have fun! <3
Sorry I'm not much help =S

Never perfectly. Get a gnome to do it and there will always be a bad effect, such as colourblindness, an inability to see anything in red, no depth perception. For a goblin made solution, there is the slight risk of it blowing up or frazzling your brain. Either way, it would likely not literally be reconstructing the eye, but rather giving the person big clunky goggles or a visor to go over the damaged or missing eye, so that someone could take it off to charge, say, when sleeping. Use your imagination and I doubt anyone will have any qualms on the subject, as long as you weigh the good out with enough bad, as engineering is very unreliable.

Magical Engineering is the answer.
A fried of mine had his right eye removed by a warlock, so he got with some gnomes and mages and had an arcane sight module thing built into his eye socket. With the help of a priest as well, they pretty much grafted it in with healing magic and it gave him normal everyday vision using an arcane sight spell.
