I mean using our own custom models as opposed to in game models.
This is a reskin of Lady Sylvanas, pre Forsaken days as a High Elf.
It wasn't my intention to use the skin as Lady Sylvanas herself but as a different High Elf.

That would only be client-sided, however, and nobody else could see the changes unless they themselves patched their MPQ files.
Precisely but rather I'd prefer people to see it. :P
Impossible with MPQ Files.

P.S.S.
As the likelihood of custom models is unlikely, WTB a CoT Instance for Sylvanas. :P

Heh, as far as I'm concerned, that isn't possible at all sorry.
However, if you want to look like a High-Elven ranger general pre-fall of Quel'thalas, go ahead as long as you have an appropriate backstory (That said, High Elves aren't playable. :P). We've access to the .addrpitem command, which allows us to equip ANY aesthetic piece of equipment up to Epic gear, if that helps at all.

I don't see why not.
According to Lore, there's roughly 25,000 High Elves still in existence.
As for .addrpitem.. Already on it. :P

According to server rules, we're only allowed to play the current playable races, meaning the races selectable at the Character Creation menu.

Uum....by skins you guys are referring to models of different, currently non-playable races or different variations among the same race?
I would never die for my beliefs because I might be wrong.

I think the OP wanted to change the model to a custom one, non playable.
Though I think it would be awesome if some of the NPC skins like the Human Cultist or Mag'har Orc could be made available.

Precisely.
I wanted the ability to change our models to custom ones that weren't in game.
And from what I understand, Kretol is toying around with giving us NPC skins.

Exactly that would be nice. I always wanted to use that human cultist model. It's so cute. Errr... Whatever.
With that, we could build a scourge survivor guild or something, if it's allowed, of course. Also, the cultist model is available for gnomes too and elves as well as orcs have also pretty interesting models for such an idea.

So Kretol, I am curious... What kind of skins will we be able to do?
Goblin I am sure of but like.. what else? I think it'd be kind of lame to just have Goblins..
Maybe High Elves, Broken, and Ogres maybe?
Do you have what it takes to join the Fighting Blues?
Do you have what it takes to defend your homeland?
Will you stand up in defense of the innocent? The weak?
Will you stand up in defense of Justice and the Law?

Maybe even Tuskarr? But being stuck in Northrend permanently is a downside.
