While obviously this is CotH, and anyone can RP anywhere freely, I think with the attention, you should spend time on consideration before you send your characters down. Leave it up to your own opinion, but the catacombs themselves seem like they'd be reserved for people with darker interests.
Essentially, if your character isn't a certain class or whatever, don't bar yourselves from going down there. Just consider the atmosphere and how your character would react.
I'll have to see if I can orient a character towards the catacombs, as they are very cool.

Also, Medivh and Aegwyn's tombs are in the Tome of the Unrepentant part. In retail you can hear a heartbeat, but I assume you guys removed that.

I've never RP'd the catacombs as being right next to Karazhan. Just some random network of tunnels under Duskwood and Deadwind.
Still, we have summoning circles atop the tombs in question, and they emit their own sound which likely drowns out the heart beating.

Same. Just pointing this out for the lore geeks. I don't think evildoers would build a city around the lady who beat Sargeras's avatar, and the guy who helped unite the races of Azeroth into stopping the Legion.

Well, I just would like to add, that the Catacombs are as far as I noticed well visited. Some guilds have their headquarters there.

Yes I personally love the catacombs for the headquarters of evilness. Who knows, maybe someone can make the equivalent for good guys.

Actually, it would be deliciously ironic.

Late news is late, but that silly little Gnome is up to her old tricks again and has had a grand arena built within the Slough of Despair. Warriors and spell-casters alike are welcome to do battle against some of Azeroth's fiercest creatures, willing citizens of the tombs, and prisoners comprised mainly of... intruders.

Just like to point out that technically unless you're undead, you wouldn't be able to go in the water with all the corpses with hooks in it without catching some sort of disease due to the...well corpses in stagnant water. Heh.

Yeah, the horrible disgusting diseased water. What if a death knight were to go through?

Playable death knights are undead, therefore they'd be fine.
