I keep Disconnecting

Hey there I was wondering if anyone could help me... I can't seem to play my character(s) because when I log in everything appears as "unknown" and the game disconnects shortly after (this is only happening on GMIsland). I've researched this problem before and blizzard eventually said after going through all the usual things like clearing and fixing files (all of which I've done and can confirm they have no effect) they said I should connect directly with an ethernet cable to my modem but I am currently without one can anyone offer any advice to help my laptop keep connection with the server while on GMIsland? I'm about readyto strangle myself and give up on life -.-
