Psh, I'd rather continue on the topic at hand.
I really do wish people wouldn't rely so heavily on dice. Sometimes it'd only make sense to see someone clobbered with outmatched. I mean, look at it this way... if we were to put an old man in a fight with a strong guy, give the old man a gun, is there a chance he'd win? Yes, he has a gun. Is there a chance he could get his butt kicked? Yes, he's an old man. These are things you can work out with the person you are roleplaying with.
When Rofupi and myself fight, we've never, ever used dicerolls. Why? We work shit out, and come to the conclusion of who will win the fight. And during that time, we come up with believable attacks that not only look pretty, but are well coordinated with eachother's because we -don't- rely on a diceroll or HP pool to tell us what'd happen to our characters.
On the other side, I've done diceroll RPs simply because I constantly try to kill off my characters. I open the death-gate every time I go into a fight, especially if it's a hard one. Why? Because it's just a character. They can go places and do things I cannot. Death is a good motivator for people around me. Will other characters miss mine? Hopefully. Nothing is more fun as well as slightly rewarding as to have someone get emotional somehow over your character's death. I take it as a compliment.
