Existing but currently unavailable items?

I'm thinking about what to token for on my Night Elf, and I came across this question:

Say I really like the model of [item]Palomino Bridle[/item]. This is an oooooold mount from way back when. It still exists (as far as I know, though I'm not a technical guru), it's just been removed from vendors. I'm assuming it still exists because players who got it when it was available can still use it.

I know I could buy the armored palomino, but I'd really rather have the unarmored version as all that flashy chrome doesn't suit my character one bit.

Since this is an existing item on retail, would I be able to use a silver token for it?

If not, it's not the end of the world. I just wanted to know my options.

Yes, any item already in the Retail database, so is obtainable or was obtainable and still exists on retail can be tokened.

I believe that, in that particular case, we have a zone where the vendors sell those items. You'll want to look for one that sells <Old School Mounts>, from my memory. There's a book you can click on in the Silverwing Hold in WSG that'll take you there. :>
