Just a quick poll to see what you think about this!
My opinion is clear; I think it's a shame people use such a small part of the world for Roleplay. First of all (and yes, I am referring to Stormwind): players tend to stay in Alliance/Horde areas. Personally, I'd like to see some more Cross Faction RP going on again!
Tell me what you think!

Though I agree people should get out of cities more. There's no need to hassle em', and cross-faction RP is also great, as long as it involves waaar!

Kaelvan Wrote:Though I agree people should get out of cities more. There's no need to hassle em' Agreed. Yes, people need to get out more, but making posts and polls about it do no one any good. It may even make some people feel like targets because they prefer RPing in a city-type venue. Remember: We're here to have fun. For our own enjoyment. If someone really wants to stay in a city and RP, more power to them. I do encourage people to -try- other RP, though, and that's what people should do, encourage it, not say that people need to do other things, then.. not do anything about it.
If people want others to not RP in cities, then.. stay out of the city. RP in nature! Do whatever. Invite people to join you, or try and think of fun things for people to do! People need motivation to do things. Posts and polls will only get you so far. Take action and try and get them out of there. <Nod>

You are right Piken, I was not trying to make people feel like targets.
Your post is really helpful to me, perhaps I can do my part in trying to involve people in other styles.
Thanks!

Heh, personally felt like a target there. Good thing I took three more seconds to read the actual follow up posts *proud of self*
Either way.. Making new threads about this doesn't do any good, and the small Quote:(and yes, I am referring to Stormwind)
part made me actually see this as another QQ post instead of taking it seriously. People keep crying about SW and when Silvermoon has all the RP nobody complaints so yeah. My two cents? Stop QQing about cities, if you want to RP elsewhere, go there. Advertise that there's a event and have fun there with the people that actually move out. The rest? Well, that's their choice. QQing about it won't help, and as Piken said.. making posts/polls about it does not improve it. Same for crying in chat channels on a sidenote. (not referring to anyone here, just stating)
That's just m'ah 2 cents.

Noone roleplays in Ratchet or BB anymore? SADFACE.
Well, honestly, the best way to break up the in city roleplay is to start to get your friends to come with you to the smaller locations. Sometimes, I understand it can be easier to find RP in a well populated area, that's comfortable, but branching out and taking a trip can be just as easy.
A lot of times I hear "Oh, my character doesn't have a reason to be there...", when truth be told, they should say, "I can't bother to constructively think of a reason, and I really don't want to."
I don't remember were I heard this, but there is a phrase... "Prolonged comfort is a sign of stagnation."
Branch out, be dangerous, take your character off the beaten path. Go buy stuff from Rachet folk.

I am Salsa, and I approve of this thread.
I'm going to try and branch out myself. Maybe people will follow my footsteps? Who knows~? ;o

I kinda disagree, you have to understand that not every character is the next Grom Hellscream or Varian, some characters are simple civilians that don't have fighting skills and even between Stormwind and Goldshire are bandits wild animals, you feeling me?
Well that's how I feel, people live behind the city walls safely. Cowards.

Hehe, be careful to read the date of the last post before you make a reply! It's generally bad to necro threads that are old and settled. /nod
