I remember maybe a week ago it wouldn't take me very long to open up the server's website (Probably 4 or 6 seconds). But lately,(About Wednesday), the speed at which my browser displays this website has slowed to a crawl.
Does anyone have an idea as to why this might be happening? I'm running on Windows Vista and use Internet Explorer. Help is greatly appreciated.

I know Wowhead has been having issues. Considering we pull data from there (for the tooltips), that is likely why.

It's WoWHead! I confirmed with with NoScript; when I forbid scripts from WoWHead the site loaded immediately. Our website is trying to load various CSS and javascript files that allow us to do a variety of nifty features, such as seeing the stats about an item or even the goal of a quest. With WoWHead having technical difficulties this morning, every time you load the browser it's trying to connect with their site to retrieve that information. The site actually loads only after that connection has timed out.
If you use Firefox, snag NoScript. It will allow you to deny scripts from differing sites. It's also a beautiful security measure, since scripts can be malicious in nature at times!
Edit: Bugger! Kret beat me. I'd still recommend getting NoScript, though.

Yeah, everything covered, but it definitely doesn't change much with browsers. I originally tried it on Firefox and now I'm on Chrome. Same stuff. Thanks though, Piroska

The addon may help, it certainly solved my problem well enough.

It is Wowhead that is causing it. They did not expect the huge influx of people coming to their newly created Cataclysm site, and overloaded.
