What's your favorite flavor of RP?

Honestly? I tend to enjoy them all. But, to choose a favorite, exploration.

Grand adventure! Travel! New places and interesting things! I took a whole two weeks or so just exploring with a friend ICly on live once. It's still one of my favorite moments in my RP history.

As second favorites, I'd have to choose Day-to-day and (le gasp!) educational. Yes, Educational. I've always enjoyed the idea of mentors, pupils, students and teachers. (I've played both sides of it) and I've liked both - had some of my other favorite moments in that setting. Plus, both Day-to-day and education (doesn't have to just be academic education, either - things like hunting and weapons training have to be taught, too!) have often lead to a lot of interesting things for me, so I'm very fond of them.

I picked Conflict simply because it's half the reason I play Warcraft. Everyone's supposed to be at eachother's throats all the time. It might be because I am, by nature, an extremely beligerent, aggressive person (I kid... not really! Stab! Stab!), it might be because I have a general interest in medieval-styled martial combat, or it might be that I just really, really like writing decent, believable fight scenes with other players for some reason. I dunno - probably some combination thereof. Regardless, I really like playing 4 FITE, but it's not just the fighting itself I like. Factional and racial hatred played out, and war in general makes me glee. No, I'm not crazy. All that much, anyway.

However, that's only a favourite. I can safely say that I regularly engage in all the forms of roleplay that the poll mentioned. I like exploring simply because the game world is so interesting and well-designed (alas, a lot of my characters could not give a crap about sight-seeing) and I do have a surprisingly soppy side, which does shine through at times although romance is never something I'll actively go out and pursue. That'd be weird, I think. Political intrigue is generally quite hit-or-miss for me (I either love it or hate it, like Marmite) and I'm not all that keen on day-to-day RP, though there's often no way around it if you're going out trying to find roleplay.

Generally speaking, I just like character development, however it may come. I'm sure you'll all agree how win it is.

I love all kinds of RP so I chose that I don't have a paticulare favourite. It really depends on the person that I'm RPing with, and how many. If we're more of a group then I can love more adventure/exploration kind of RPs. But really I love all them put together. What I enjoy the most is when you have a romantic RP, but at the blink of an eye something happens and it's turned to a conflict, and the conflict turns to intrigue and the intrigue to adventure and then once everythings calmed down the day to day stuff happens.

Combat/Conflict isn't nearly as popular as I thought it would be.

I would have picked Conflict if I didn't suddenly realize I personally have no preference. I'll take pretty much any plot as long as it's interesting. Yes, I do romance, and yes I also do violence and intrigue. Exploration is low on my list, but it comes with the category I suppose, and archeology is an interesting topic of RP.

I actually prefer day to day role-playing. I like it when my characters provide support to the war cause rather than fight (which makes priests the best class eva!). However, a little bit of the other role playing is fine too.

As odd as it may seem, seeing as i've never gone into it, would be romance. Of course nobody knows how I actually feel and so I never GET into Romance RP, so I suppose it would just end up as day to day. .__.;
