Come to think of it, I actually quite agree with Nostra's thinking on that. XD Characters changing to fit the savage world that the Cataclysm brings would be an interesting situation.
Well then... I'm kinda up for anything to happen in this situation.

I absolutely agree, Krent.
10,000 days in the fire is long enough,
You're going home...
So far from what I've heard of Tauren priests/paladins, it makes sense. Like how the nelves get their powers from the moon and Elune, the Tauren will get theirs from the sun or something. I've been looking for it for days, but apparently, like with the highborne quests, there are quests in 3.2.2 that hint at how it's going down with the class/race combos.
So this is how they are apparently explaining Worgens on the alliance...
The Night Elves roll on in when Gilneas' doors are blown open and the humans gone worgen are about to be attacked and somehow the Night Elves ally with the Worgen which brings them to ally with the rest of the alliance?
Also... Tauren Pallies make sense kinda, more so then a BE Pally. Gnome Priests eh... I can deal... Human Hunters = NO! Druids must stay Tauren/Nelf only! If I see a gnome transform into a cat I am done... >.<
Mikain Wrote:If not a restart (We've already done a lot to just trash it yet again.) then a time skip maybe 5 years or something. Too early to tell, it'll depend on how they change azeroth. If they completely replace it, we'll -have- to skip/restart. If the normal Azeroth we already have is still hidden in there, we'll be able to move along the story at our own pace and slowly destroy the world IC. >=D
They are Keyword:reformatting Azeroth to allow flying mounts in, on top of destroying most of the world already.
The work on Strom and Shatterspear and everything the GM's have done to the world will be vanquished at the hands of Blizzard.
Including your box tower.
If you're not raging about that, you're calmer than I am.
A timeskip would be incredibly difficult to explain for everyone, and it would either work smoothly or turn out horrid and force a restart. Of course it would have to be leapt some time into the future if we're not going to take the route Blizzard is going with the world being crushed within a week or so by the Malestrom ect ect.
And of course there would be the OPPOSITION against a restart, the wild winds of chaos from people not wanting to give up their precious characters, traits in people I personally hate. I don't foresee a restart or skip going very well, both sides have their chaos, mostly from player disdain.
But, eh, what the hell do I know? I'm not a fortune teller.
I like the fact that the seem to be putting in a lot more time, effort, hard work, and creativity than they did with Wrath of the Lich King. Hopefully they'll add in a lot of new gear skins too. I was so disappointed when WotLK came out and they only added 2 new armor looks for each armor class and recolored T3 for T7.
Aslong as we can change the lore to make sense, and 95% of Grunts aren't reverted back to Peons like what happened with the WotLK expansion, I'm happy.

I agree with the reasons for a restart, and I certainly wouldn't mind wiping out all my existing characters to RP Cataclysm here, but I think that should be more of a last resort so that we don't end up restarting for every expansion. Because if we do, then what's the point of progression?

I can understand priests from that, but why paladins? They don't turn to the Holy Light but to what we can assume is another (new?) deity, I don't want the holy light to corrupt the Tauren.
As for a timeskip, we'd just skip the time that would be used by blizz to introduce the Cataclysm and perhaps an event or two like how we did with Wrath Gate and the WotLK introduction, having forum RP to show the time during the Cataclysm would show character progression and deaths etc.
Would be cool to see new chunks of land previously that didn't exist be in game but the whole wetlands looking like it was nuked and barrens cracking apart I don't like. Whole Gilneas joining alliance is just worst thing of the expansion. I would think that they would have more in common with forsaken. Gilneas should of just been horde.
