Can't log on!

Firstly, hello to you all, secondly, thanks for reading.
I made my account almost a year ago, so when it had practically just started up, and I have read the new instructions on how to connect and done them all but my WoW is still insisting on connecting to my payed account. Have I missed something?

1. Make sure your realmlist.wtf has the right text in it

2. Make sure you run wow.exe and not the launcher (that way you skip the automatic patching)

3. Make sure you are a peon = Your introduction is approved, otherwise you cant create a serveraccount, if you made a server account last year, I believe it's gone when the server resetted to WotLK

Remember that there was a server wipe when they upgraded to wrath of the lich king. You have to introduce yourself again and make a new account.

Well, I already made another intro after realising this but that clears up alot. I remember not being able to get on when WotLK came out even though I had the game so I guess it was all wiped. My poor warlock! ='(
