Well, if you ask really nicely, the GM's might be able to restore your characters or your level. If not, it's a good time to remake them, only better!

Thank'ee kind sir, now I don't have to face re-grinding my engineering levels.

Edit: Oh yeah, I was playing on a new Daven when you reset them, fortunately nothing horrible end-of-the-world happened, and Daven had nothing of real value other than some robes, so no loss.
