Anything you are looking for in particular in regards to Skyfire conflicts? Anything major you've already noticed?

Perhaps a quick question. How does one patch up to Cata without patching to MoP?

I advise downloading the manual update patches. You should be able to find them in a browser search.

When I try to log on, it starts "Initialising Game Data". Is this normal? I'm clueless with this type of... stuff.

I use the standard client installation up to WOTLK and then update manually from that point. I installed the new client on my other hard drive to avoid possible file conflicts between the two versions.

Use the repair.exe tool...? Sounds like a corrupted MPQ file to me, anyway...
It gets stuck on Success!/Logging in to game server when I try to connect to Skyfire. The ArkCore realm works fine though, so... I'unno!

I accessed ARK today.
A lot shows up as unknown for me and I can't even logout or exit the game, somehow. EDIT: So maybe open up the other one for testing? ![]() Oh my god... you didn't...
I think this might help you guys, I'm not sure if its safe or a full-game client though. Nope, thats broke.

From what I can tell you from my own forays with Skyfire (and Cataclysm emulations in general), that tends to mean you haven't patched the exe of your WoW yet (or incorrectly). The way I understand it is that retail WoW uses two connections to send data to the client now (one of which is encrypted), like names and such. Emulators still use a single connection as they've always done. The patcher simply allows the WoW executable to receive all of this information through the single connection provided. In fact: Have a link to the patcher and see if that fixes anything: https://github.com/ProjectSkyfire/SkyFir...%20Patcher Note: This did show up as a threat on my Norton Anti-virus... But I can assure you, it's not.

Also, as a reminder to anyone needing a client, check on the first page of this thread for attaining one. Assuming the method still works, you can download the whole client easily (and even play while streaming more data, though it's safer to download the whole thing first to avoid issues).
