I'll just take this post to say that meet and greets aren't the locale to air out your dirty laundry with anyone on staff or anyone on the server. One of the reasons we haven't had as many meet and greets is because a select few players have consistently turned it into a massive fest of pent up complaints they didn't want to bring up before, and utilized the open forum, despite us having an online open forum we're all posting in now, to explode on the staff about how things are terrible and they hate us. It's a good time to bring up something that may be bugging you, but I, and the rest of the staff, assure you that the forums are still always open for this sort of thing. Hopefully it won't come to that, and I doubt it will, but certainly just a heads up.

This is pretty much why I have steered cleared of the notion for a good while.

I don't remember any of that .o. I remember sitting in a circle and chatting endlessly about the most random things.

Read: Grakor is an anti-social bastard and we wanted to force him to say hello to people.
Anyway, yeah, we've had some issues in the past regarding folks dumping a lot of rage and drama on the floor at a Meet and Greet. I'd like to clarify that I don't mind talking about issues or concerns regarding the server at one, but there's a fine line between that and just professing how the GMs are supposedly corrupt and so on.

Well as a note:
DONT BE DOIN THAT STUFF GUYZ! This is suppose to be a nice place for people to meet new people and greet them. It's called meet and greet, not meet and tear each other's hearts out.

Some people seemed to be bottling up their grievances and saving for the meet and greets, usually to bring up something that probably shouldn't have been for a public forum. Two topics that came up making drama was GM corruption and GM favoritism (and sometimes that GMs were incompetent and didn't even enforce chat rules). Sometimes perceived staff favorites were "called out" along with anecdotes of why they were thought to get special treatment. Some of these were misunderstood, or completely false to begin with, and often seemed more to be about tearing down another player rather than making things equal on the server. It seemed people just wanted to use meet and greet to form a mob or riot mentality.
Perhaps if there were some established rules before hand, along with the no speaking out of turn and cluttering the place with emotes, it can be established that the meet and greet is for Q&A and not to resolve personal grievances with other players.

However, those were times were the community overall had doubts about the GMs. It's been a looong time since I saw any of that here now since there's very little, if anything, to complain about with the GMs. I think it'd be fine at this point.

Yeah, last time I saw anything resembling GM/player drama was when Secrettom was here. Then again I have been away for some time.
I'm all for bringing the Meet N' Greet events back, they were a hoot and a half!

Oooh, if this is all OoC, I expect for the GMs to bust out the toys. Fireworks, Cenarius paths and foam swords all around!
Erm... Pretty please?
Also, if this is OoC, I should just make a character named "Dae." What race/class do yall think would best epitomize my being?

About this! I wanted to say something about this too. I think it would actually be a good idea for people to actually make characters with the names of their forum names in order for others to actually know who is who.
I already got a character named Sorum and I think I will attend with that one.
TL;TR: Special characters named after the forum name of the player would be nice.
