Wow, for a second there I lost all hope in my profile because of c0rzilla. Reading your post brings back a feint hope that Vivant may finally get approved at some point. And then I can actually apply for gruntship *cheer*

I really don't believe I was harassing you. I've done that before on another profile a long while ago, and that was not it. And, as I recall, I was not the only one that had an issue with your paladin's view of warlocks. I was trying to reach a middle ground with you, actually as I used my own character as an example, since she also does not believe all warlocks are evil.
But apparantly I'm a hope killer.

I'm going to give this thread a bump. It's starting to look like we could use it again.
Mangaboy, I know this is very late (a month, hehe) in coming, but I think that was really rude.
I've only occasionally had other people post on my character threads.
Most of them were helpful and pleasant but I still felt insulted in some cases, intimidated in others, and outright enraged by a few. If I've spent a lot of time researching the history and culture of a race, and considering what I want to put into a character, who's another Grunt or Peon to say otherwise? That sort of thing should remain entirely within mods' jurisdiction. Likewise when I was new - I was terrified I'd do something wrong, and that I'd look like an idiot in front of the other players who checked it. And then there have been a couple of posts for no reasons at all.
So, my two cents.

It comes down to same point that has been nagged and grinded over and over in this thread and others:
- Avoid posting in Character Profiles cause you bump 'em up the list and nobody likes this. Use PM or keep it in Workshop.
- Post only when you can actually offer contructive alternatives to the issue at hand. Be open to underlying ideas in some thoughts and be open to that not all are lorekeepers nor base all their 'facts' off the RPG books.
- In the end, the decision is with the GM and you have to accept that. Or leave and start your own server and do it better.

Bumping this up after about a year. It would probably be helpful to read.

I still stand by this 100%. Probably the best thing you can take out of this, is -know- that there can be a line between being constructive in your criticism, and just being a jerk. Remember, too, that on the -other- hand you should know when people are trying to help!
This shouldn't just apply to profiles, but anything on the forums. I see lots of angst over crap people post, and most of it is unneeded.

I agree with this completely.
