These heights and weights are just averages! Please don't consider them as minimums or maximums!
Any heights significantly above or below the average for the race and gender must be approved by Kretol, so that he can appropriately set your scale.

Those are some good and pretty accurate conversions. I don't know if it's needed, but having something similar for the other races would indeed be helpful.

This is very, very useful. Thank you very much for this.

Keep in mind that the weights are just theoretical averages. There is room around for orcs to be heavier or lighter in build, though in general orcs are always pretty burly.

I've done this on my newer characters because it makes sense. My Orc, Irogh, was born in the camps. I'm guessing they got fed a poor human diet so he ended up with stunted-growth. I get commented OOCly about his short-height, but it never seems to make it IC.
Quote:Some clans are known for being very large, so make sure you know what clan your Orc is coming from.
Something I need to do/define. I'm guessing it's one part genetics and one part environment?
The true test of his choice lies forward.

What are the mathematical determinants of the heights in orc scales? I see that there is a 5-6 inch difference for males but an 8 for taller orc females. Are you giving rough visual estimates, is there a predetermined model scale, or is there a math equation you go by? This height and weight guide would be fantastic for other races, especially if we are to compare to the likes of 6' humans and blood elves.

The height gain for male orcs and female orcs are roughly the same. 12 inches = 1 foot. 7'2" is 8 inches taller than 6'6".

@Ural: I believe it has to do with genetics and environment. Where different Orcs grew up would impact their size, what they eat and their skin tones.
@Immy: For the height, I did the conversions via math. For weight, Grakor and I used the scale to figure out what made sense for what height. The conversion for height is [Your Height/Normal height] in inches. I just keep doing the math over and over until the numbers matched the scale. I'm working on other race's now, it will be updated by tomorrow.

Hmm... I should check my wiki pages and make sure my heights are not all out of wack... I can't even remember the heights I set them to.

Minor updates made, mainly formatting and average heights for each race added in. I would like opinions on the layout with these questions:
1: Is it easy to read?
2: Is it easy to find what you're looking for?
3: Do you have any suggestions for the layout to help?
4: Overall opinion on the layout?

Actually... I think you'd benefit from just leaving it normal sized and spoilered. It's hard on the eyes as it is.
It's easy to find. I could also help you with the math for the averages, as you seem to have left plenty blank.
Suggestions? Perhaps to have this stickied once it's fully done. I'll edit my guide to link to it with your permission, as well.

The math averages are easy for me to find, I just wanted opinions before I fill it all out then go "HURRDURR, GOTTA CHANGE IT AROUND.'
You're always welcome to link it to your guide.

There, all done!
Granted, I 'enlisted' the help of Uthaniel. By enlisted, I mean enslaved him with threats of eternal doom if he did not color me a picture of an unicorn while riding a flying rainbow of flames and doing half of the math. /cough
Keep in mind these are for a guideline and not absolute, there are abnormalities and in-betweens of the listed weights and heights. Overweight/Underweight characters, Orcs from naturally large-body clans, corruption of sorts, ect. Just be sure to -research- what you're doing and all will be good.
I hope many find this helpful!
