Actually, I was talking about this way back with someone. I think it was Nexi. One of us was saying that if we could get a concrete set of rules, then perhaps Guards (in my case of want, Sentinels) could become playable. Therefore, if you need help devising the laws/rules for other races, I'll give it a try.

Perhaps they won't like their money confiscated, but there's still no harm done. I always imagined the bruisers as mean, greedy and always ready to hand out beatings. As for playable guards, while it's off-topic. I rather not see those at all, despite a set rules, they get corrupt, ignore the rules and do whatever they please. Edit: And Sentinels are rather playable really. Niarrin is one, and has been since the day I made her. Never heard a objection with her, the profile or other regarding it.

When players have the ability to police people, they turn into dicks. ;/ ![]()

My thoughts exactly Binkle, that experiment says more about us than anything else.

Instead of kick out of the bay. Personally I think it'd be more or less, kicked out of the bar? In bar-brawls, your not really thrown out of the town, just the bar-in-question.

Well if we used the GGG, you wouldn't be kicked out for a brawl at all, unless it got so serious that you needed to be removed from the area.

Regarding bribery:
1. Attain bribe. 2. Ask for a bit more. 3. Net gun 'em fo' sho'. 4. Arrest. 5. Enjoy the shiney quarter you found (Or 300 quarters, who cares?) 6. ??? 7. Profit!
Jeneal jumps into the water. "HAHAHAHAHA!" She turns into a seal.

What about people attempting to take away business that is generally the Goblins? Not everything that goes on with them is exactly legal, if you want something an you got the coin there is a nine outta ten chance they will have it. And if they don't they will get it.
How, or would they even, respond if a person or persons walked in trying to make profits off what the Goblins usually sell? Be it slavery, drugs, or the like. Think the Bruisers would walk up and tell them to close shop? Rough 'em up for invading their turf? In a way, I personally see either happening and if not, no reaction that would be all that nice.

I'd say the goblins would tax them if anything, or simply wait for the small-time supplier's wares to run out.
Don't want to shut down trade RP in a trading port, yar? Kinda how economics with a small and large business would work- The people may initially buy out the supply of the small business, but that leaves the big guy still getting the rest of his wares sold at normal price to the people the small business can't cater to. In the end, the big business still gets more.

A good idea Rig, but realistically. How would that work on the server? What could be a proper set up that would work within CoTH?
And personally, I sometimes see Goblins as frowning on small trade entering theirs. There are other places for that. But that is likely because I was around when we had a Goblin player who spoke of others entering the area as bad. But if what you say is how it should go. Then how would that work within game? |
