The shortcut links to launcher.exe. Change it to go to wow.exe by right clicking it, hitting properties, and change the final part of the path from WoW/launcher.exe to WoW/wow.exe. Then you'll be good to go.
Good news. I have Linux now. So, I'm putting up Linux support here as well.

Well, if you installed it and everything, then it should be located in "C:/Program Files/World of Warcraft/WoW.exe".
If you can't find that, do a search for "wow.exe" in Windows Explorer, and that should hopefully bring something up. If not, reinstall.

Ok...so i'm on windows vista, for reference.
my game is on version 3.3.3a. I can't update to 3.3.5a. It keeps loading the bar then says "update failed" with not explanation.

Have you

You need to create a forum account.
Go to the main menu and click on Account Management.

Lol I'm back at it trying to connect after my bro took wow off his comp. Any ways Macintosh wise, if I keep getting instantly disconnected from the server when in game, and trying to connect what should my first step be.
You never stood a chance if you never tried to try.

I'm on Windows Vista and I'm at patch 3.2.0 right now. When I try to patch to 3.3.0, it loads to about 2% and then talks about an error that it couldn't read some file. I tried running repair, but that didn't do anything about it. Help please.
